Spice Island Beach Resort, located on Grenada's stunning Grand Anse Beach, offers unparalleled all-inclusive luxury suites and amenities, but with a boutique-resort feel.

Aside from being an up-an-coming Caribbean destination, Grenada offers some of the most unique all-inclusive resorts, giving guests more pampering for their buck. One such resort is the luxurious and award-winning Spice Island Beach Resort.

Located directly on Grande Anse Beach, one of Grenada’s most beautiful stretches of white sand, Spice Island has the touch of a luxury boutique-style resort while managing to maintain a cozy family atmosphere.

With 32 beachfront suites, the resort is on a less-crowded stretch of the beach, which makes guests feel as if they are on their own deserted part of Grande Anse. For people-watching and outside beach bars, guests can take a short ten-minute stroll north or south on the beach.

The suites at Spice Island Resort range from beachfront suites to pool suites with private plunge pools and garden view rooms, and are a feast for the eyes: private terraces, hammocks, flat screen televisions, en-suite bathrooms with whirlpool tubs, luxury linen and numerous other touches. The Cinnamon and Saffron premium suites are the ultimate in decadence at Spice Island, with 1450 sq. ft. of space, and designed with the latest technology including Bose sound systems, 42-inch television screens, and even providing a Special Coordinator to serve guests’ needs.

Luxury does have a price but at Spice Island, the returns are many. Starting at $750 a night during high-season (January 16 to April 15), the resort daily rates include all three meals a day and drinks, including afternoon tea and pre-dinner cocktails. The rates also include golf green fees, tennis and cycling, non-motorized water sports including snorkeling, hobie-cats and ocean kayaks, a fully equipped fitness center, access to the swimming pool and Jacuzzi and complimentary internet access in all rooms.

The resort also features a full service spa and salon, Janissa’s, though services are not included in the all-inclusive rate.

Despite being run daily by a full staff, guests will be pleased to see and even meet the resort’s creator and owner – Sir Royston Hopkin, who along with his wife and children, constantly tends to guests and strives to improve the hotel’s service and offerings. Many return to the resort as a result of the Hopkins’ treatment of their guests as family and their true understanding of Caribbean hospitality.

Spice Island Beach Resort is currently running a “Winter Blues” getaway special, offering $400 off on single-occupancy on all four-night minimum stays through March 31, 2010 and $500 off for double or triple occupancy during that same period. These are significant savings for those looking for a splash of luxury in their vacation but still hoping to snag a discount. Seven nights or more entitles guests to a complimentary Swedish Massage at Janissa’s Spa.

Spice Island Beach Resort is truly a getaway worth every penny. And if already staying in Grenada, it is certainly worth a visit.
